s.wordfish is a company that offers editing and writing services in English, creative writing solutions, and Croatian-English translation services.

s.wordfish is both a practical undertaking and a project that came to be out of a love of language. The dual nature of the audience and the languages is intertwined with creativity and art, which are the core of s.wordfish’s identity.

The aim was to increase the company’s client base, including both larger and smaller companies, and to expand to new sectors – promotion and advertising, technical editing, and writing marketing materials in English for Croatian as well as foreign companies.

We had the pleasure of developing s.wordfish’s visual identity and bringing it to life. The idea was based on certain characteristics of the offered services. Editing was shown through corrections, crossing out text, and free-hand forms. Creative writing was represented through the key visual – the image of a woman with a sign reading “Please Don’t Touch”, which calls to mind the value of a work of art. Quotes tied to the company’s identity were communicated through a contrasting rigid tabular form that holds the information within a structure and evokes learning, old-school stationery, and an exploration of languages. s.wordfish’s visual identity was adapted to each medium – business cards for B2B clients, flyers and social media for B2C, as well as a combination of both for the company’s website.
